Step 1: Set up the base unit
Place your Magimix food processor on a flat surface with the control panel (featuring the STOP, AUTO, and PULSE buttons) facing you.
Step 2: Secure the main bowl
Align the main bowl onto the motor base so that the handle is just left of centre. Rotate the bowl gently anti-clockwise until the handle is directly above the ‘AUTO’ button. You’ll hear a soft click when it’s properly locked in.
Step 3: Choose your bowl
Refer to the options below to select the best bowl for your task. You can use the main bowl by itself, or layer in the midi or mini bowls depending on your prep needs.
MAIN BOWL
Use this bowl for larger quantities and most accessories.
- Attach the main S blade by placing it on the motor shaft (in the middle) and rotating it gently until it falls into place.
- This bowl is compatible with most Magimix attachments, including the Dicing Kit, Spiral Expert, and Juice attachments.*
*Please refer to the specific accessory instructions before use.
MIDI BOWL
Ideal for slicing and grating tasks
- Place the midi bowl over the shaft inside the main bowl.
- Rotate it gently until secured.
- Next, fit the disc support onto the shaft, followed by your selected slicing or grating disc.
- Twist the disc gently until it falls and settles into position.
MINI BOWL
Perfect for small-batch prep, dips and sauces
- Place the mini bowl directly onto the shaft inside the main bowl. (Ensure the midi bowl is not fitted.)
- Gently rotate until it clicks into place.
- Attach the mini S blade, twisting slightly to lock it in.
This bowl is specially designed for smaller tasks like chopping garlic or herbs, and blending dips, dressings, or mayonnaise.
Step 4: Fit the lid
Position the lid so that the feed tube is facing you, slightly left of centre. Turn the lid clockwise until the feed tube aligns directly above the ‘AUTO’ button and clicks securely into place.
Step 5: Insert the pusher
Place the pusher inside the feed tube. Ensure it falls below the ‘MAX’ line, otherwise the processor won’t start. Always insert the pusher after locking the lid, to help preserve the bowls' locking mechanism.
Button Overview
STOP
Use this to stop the processor completely.
AUTO
Activates continuous processing. The motor's advanced technology allows it to automatically adjust its speed depending on what is in the bowl. For this reason, Magimix food processors do not have speed options.
PULSE
Delivers short bursts of power for precise control. Hold and release for intermittent processing. Great for getting the perfect texture when blending or puréeing.
Happy cooking.
