Here’s how you can assemble, use, and disassemble the Magimix food processor whisk:
Watch video here.
Assembling the Whisk:
- Start with the Bowl: Place the food processor bowl on the base, ensuring it’s securely locked in place.
- Insert the Whisk: Take the whisk attachment (also known as the egg whisk) and place it onto the central shaft in the bowl. Ensure it is properly seated on the shaft.
- Attach the Lid: Place the lid onto the bowl and lock it into place. Ensure that the lid is securely fastened, as the processor will not start unless it is properly locked.
Using the Whisk:
- Select Your Ingredients: The whisk is ideal for whipping cream or beating egg whites.
- Start the Processor: Turn on the food processor. The whisk will rotate at high speed, whipping air into your mixture. The food processor's motor will automatically adjust its speed depending on what is in the bowl.
- Monitor Progress: Keep an eye on your mixture as it whisks, stopping periodically to check the consistency.
Disassembling the Whisk:
- Turn Off and Unplug: Before disassembling, ensure the food processor is turned off and unplugged for safety.
- Remove the Lid: Unlock and remove the lid from the bowl.
- Lift Out the Whisk: Gently lift the whisk attachment from the central shaft.
- Clean Up: The whisk, like most of the food processor's parts, is usually dishwasher safe, but it can also be washed by hand with warm, soapy water. You can disassemble the top disc support and the bottom whisk to wash individually. DO NOT disassemble the disc support/ top section of the whisk. Ensure it is completely dry before storing.
